Charlie Murphy

Academy Member

A graduate of the Gaiety School of Acting in Dublin, Charlie is an award winning Theatre and Screen actress. Following appearances on Irish dramas The Clinic and Single Handed, Charlie broke through with the role of Siobhan over five seasons on the hugely popular RTÉ TV Drama Love/Hate, for which she won the IFTA Award for Best Actress in 2013.

In recent years she has appeared on screen in films such as ’71, the Oscar nominated Philomena and Northmen: A Viking Saga. Murphy has also starred on British television screens in drama series such as Misfits, Quirke, Ripper Street, and critically adored and BAFTA Nominated shows The Village and Happy Valley.
