Daughter of award-winning Irish actress Charlotte Bradley, Ruth Bradley started her career with roles in Irish television dramas such as The Clinic, Love Is the Drug and Showbands. In 2007, her performance in the Irish miniseries Stardust won her the IFTA Award for Best Supporting Actress and she also appeared in television comedies Rasai na Gaillimhe and Plus One. Her role as the murderous friend and neighbour in the Australian thriller In Her Skin in 2009 won her accolades at the Milan International Film Festival, and she received further plaudits as well as an IFTA nomination for her performance on the hugely successful RTÉ television drama Love/Hate.
Following further roles on the ITV series Primeval and the mini-series Titanic (written by Julian Fellowes and transmitted in over 86 countries), Ruth starred in the Irish comedy-horror Grabbers for which she won the IFTA Award for Best Film Actress.
In recent years Bradley has concentrated on work in the US but has starred in major Irish feature films such as The Sea and Pursuit.
Bradley has appeared as DI Karen Voss in the Channel 4/AMC science fiction series Humans from 2015 to 2019. In autumn 2019, she played Angie in the dark and comic BBC series Guilt. In 2021, Bradley played the role of Ms. Bowen in Apple TV+ comedy-drama Ted Lasso.
"I'm so honoured to be nominated this year which was such a strong year for the Irish industry. I was blown away by so many performances in film and television, I am so grateful and honoured to be nominated among my peers. Thank you so much"
