In 2002 Keira Knightley made her breakthrough appearance in Bend It Like Beckham, for which she won the London Critics Circle Award for British Newcomer of the Year. The following year she was chosen to star in Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl and has reprised her role as Elizabeth Swan in the two hit sequels. At just 21 she received Oscar and Golden Globe nominations for her performance in Pride & Prejudice and has recently received another Golden Globe nomination for her role in Atonement. Other screen credits include King Arthur, Love Actually and The Hole and she will soon be seen in The Duchess and The Edge of Love.

P.S. I Love You is Hilary Swank’s second collaboration with director Richard LaGravenese, having previously starred in Freedom Writers. The two-time Best Actress Academy Award winner picked up her first Oscar in 1999 for her role of Brandon Teena in Boys Don’t Cry and her second for her starring role in Clint Eastwood’s Best Picture winning feature Million Dollar Baby. In 2006 she co-starred with Scarlett Johansson and Josh Hartnett in Brian De Palma’s real-life crime drama The Black Dahlia and her other screen credits include The Affair of the Necklace, The Gift and Insomnia. Swank is next set to star as Amelia Earhart in the biopic Amelia, to be directed by Phillip Noyce.
