An exciting development in 2015 is the introduction of the People’s Choice Award – the Gala TV Show of the Year – where the Irish public will get THEIR say on what they think is this year’s Best TV Show. Votes will be cast via a Facebook App on Gala Retail’s social media and voters will also have the chance to win prizes in the lead up to the Ceremony.

The Late Late Toy Show

Airing on 28 November 2014 and hosted by Ryan Tubridy, The Late Late Toy Show prominently featured the popular toys of the year presented by the host and demonstrated by various children on-stage, along with special performances from children all around Ireland.

Mrs Brown's Boys

Mrs. Brown's Boys is a television sitcom created by and starring Irish writer and performer Brendan O'Carroll. The titular character Agnes Brown is played by O'Carroll himself, with several close friends and family members making up the rest of the cast.

 

The Voice Of Ireland

The Voice of Ireland is the Irish edition of the international TV franchise The Voice, featuring judges Kian Egan, Rachel Stevens, Bressie and Una Foden.

 

 

RBS Six Nations

The RBS Six Nations returned in 2015 with Ireland, France, England, Wales, Scotland and Italy battling it out for the title.

 

 

 

Room To Improve

Room to Improve is an Irish architectural renovation TV series resented by the architect Dermot Bannon, his aim is to improve his clients' living conditions by renovating their homes without spending excessive sums of money.

Red Rock

Red Rock is an Irish soap opera set in a fictional seaside town in Dublin. The show is based around Red Rock's local Garda Station, and also features two feuding families (The Kielys and the Hennessys) whose battles often involve them with the police.

 

Coverage of FIFA World Cup

The 2014 FIFA World Cup saw Germany become world champions once again - with the tournament also being the final broadcast of veteran soccer presenter Bill O' Herlihy.
