Tony Hanway, CEO of Virgin Media in Ireland will speak at the IFTA Industry Breakfast on Wednesday 6th September, 2016.

Virgin Media is one of the world’s most iconic brands and Tony’s address will provide an update on developments since it entered the Irish market almost a year ago. Virgin Media offers TV, broadband, fixed and mobile phone services and recently acquired TV3 Group, the leading commercial free-to-air TV broadcaster. It is front and centre in the convergence of all things digital and uniquely positioned in the communications and broadcasting sectors.

Tony is one of Ireland's most experienced telecommunications industry leaders and was appointed CEO of Virgin Media Ireland in 2015. Before that he held a number of roles with Telefonica across Europe, including CEO of O2 in Ireland, Consumer Director of O2 in the Czech Republic and Chief Commercial Officer of O2 in Germany. Prior to joining O2, he held senior roles at AOL Europe including Managing Director AOL Europe Operations Ltd and Vice President AOL UK. He was Chairman of the Irish Telecom and Internet Federation of IBEC between 2013 and 2014.
