Aidan Gillen is an Irish actor best known for his roles in Love/Hate, Game of Thrones, and Peaky Blinders. He has a career spanning four decades with performances in film and television earning him a reputation as one of Ireland's finest actors.
Over a prolific career, Gillen has appeared in numerous television series both here in Ireland and internationally. His performances in RTÉ series Love/Hate and Charlie earned him two IFTA Awards for Best Actor. He also starred in another RTÉ series, Kin, earning a nomination for Best Actor in a Lead Role - Drama at the 2022 IFTA Awards.
Internationally, Gillen as had roles in Game of Thrones, Peaky Blinders, and The Wire, for which he won his first IFTA Award in 2009.
Gillen has also starred in a number of successful films throughout his career including The Dark Knight Rises, Calvary, Sing Street, King Arthur: Legend of the Sword, Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials, Maze Runner: The Death Cure and Bohemian Rhapsody.
