Ed Bruce

Academy Member

Ed is the Head of SSVFX and the company’s Senior Visual Effects Supervisor having founded SSVFX in 2010. He has worked on hit feature films and television series over a 20+ year career and has been recognized with multiple international award wins & nominations including a VES win, BAFTA nomination, and four IFTA Awards in total. In 2025 Ed recieved great success for his work on Shōgun recieving an IFTA win for Best visual effects and a Primetime Emmy award for Outstanding Special Visual Effects in a Season or a Movie. Ed has also recieved IFTA wins for his work on Kidding, We have always lived in a castle and The Frankenstein Chronicles.
