The Irish Film & Television Academy is a not for profit all-Ireland organisation with a membership of 1,300 Irish industry professionals.  In addition to our Awards ceremonies, we have a year-round, programme of learning events and initiatives that offer unique access to some of the world’s most inspiring talent, through masterclasses, lectures, discussions, workshops and mentoring programmes in Ireland. The Academy works to celebrate, honour and promote the achievements of Irish creative talent both in Ireland and internationally and to support the growth of Irish creative talent by identifying and celebrating excellence; discovering, inspiring and nurturing new talent; and enabling learning and creative collaboration.
The Academy is now seeking to recruit an experienced Administrator with excellent organisational and communication skills, to work alongside the Irish Academy’s CEO as well as the wider team.  This position is an invaluable opportunity for a skilled administrator to work at the highest level within the Irish Academy, working side by side with the CEO, gaining first-hand understanding of the Irish screen industry, including decision makers, stakeholders and international screen talent.
 

Key Responsibilities include:
1. Work closely with the CEO across key Academy projects, and manage confidential information with absolute discretion and a high degree of personal integrity while dealing with sensitive information.
2. Deliver high standards of attention to detail alongside the ability to process sensitive data quickly and correctly while maintaining high levels of confidentiality at all times.
3. Liaise with stakeholders, state bodies, board members, 3rd party consultants, broadcasters, agencies, members and funders on behalf of the CEO and manage diaries and engagements.
4. Correspond with Irish and international agents and representatives and schedule meetings; coordinate travel arrangements and logistics, book venues, and all administration and reports where required.
5. Provide weekly/monthly reports and updates for the CEO and Board, from key activities, events and meetings, updating spreadsheets, as necessary and processing receipts/invoices.
6. Provide administration support to the team across the Academy’s year-round Learning Events Programme of activities for the Members, working closely with the Film & Television coordinator who manages the masterclasses & discussions.
7. Manage volume date in: Microsoft Office, Excel, FilemakerPro, Mailchimp, Powerpoint, Google Suite, Zoom (or similar programmes).
8. Use practical skills in graphics, digital media & marketing tools for Social Media Platforms: Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter etc.
 


The ideal candidate will:

1. Have a minimum of 3 years of professional administration experience.

2. Have exceptionally strong administrative, organisational and communication skills and demonstrate proficiency in: Microsoft Office, Excel, FilemakerPro, Mailchimp, Powerpoint, Google Suite, Zoom (or similar programmes). 

3. Have ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality and discretion and poses the confidence to liaise with individuals and professionals at all levels within the screen industry including high profile individuals.


4. Have excellent organisational skills across administration and event booking, scheduling, budgeting, invoicing, spreadsheets and correspondence. 

5. Have practical skills in graphics, digital media & marketing tools for Social Media Platforms: Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter etc.

6. Have a passion and enthusiasm for the Arts community, the Screen industry in Ireland and Irish creative Talent

Ideal Qualifications

1. BA or similar qualification in Arts Administration or Event management.

2. Proof of relevant Professional Career experience (Min 3 years)
