Animation IFTA Masterclass - Joel Crawford

IFTA hosts a special Animation Masterclass (virtual) with Joel Crawford, the Oscar-nominated and BAFTA-nominated director of Puss in Boots: The Last Wish and The Croods: A New Age. He joined DreamWorks Animation in 2006 and worked as a story artist on films including Shrek Forever After, Kung Fu Panda, The Spongebob Movie: Sponge Out of Water and Trolls.

In this special virtual masterclass, Joel will discuss his transition from story artist to director in DreamWorks, the role of the director in feature animation and the huge success of 2022's Puss in Boots: The Last Wish.
