Written and directed by Eamonn Murphy (A Better You), Solitary tells the story of Brendan (Gerry Herbert), a widowed farmer, who lives a quiet life on the edge of a village in rural Ireland. When his home is broken into, a growing sense of fear and isolation takes hold. As violence touches the community, and trust in the system fades, Brendan must confront what it means to feel safe, to grow old, and to be truly alone. The cast also includes Cailum Carragher, Cate Russell, Emmet Kelly, Frances Blackburn, Gerry Cannon, Leanne Bickerdike, Shane G. Casey and Gordon Forbes.
Solitary was recently acquired by Screenbound International for distribution across cinemas in the UK next year.
