ABOUT THE FILM
Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy is the feature film version of John le Carré's bestselling novel. Set at the height of the Cold War, the thriller follows retired agent George Smiley (Gary Oldman), as he is sucked back into the shady world of espionage. When he is contacted with information that The Circus (Secret Intelligence Service) has been infiltrated by a Soviet double agent, Smiley, unsure of who he can trust, must work in secret to flush out the mole.
Directed by Tomas Alfredson (Let The Right One In) the film stars a who's who of the British acting elite, including Gary Oldman, Colin Firth, Tom Hardy, John Hurt, Toby Jones, Mark Strong, Ciaran Hinds, Kathy Burke and Benedict Cumberbatch. The film received seven nominations at this year's British Independent Film Awards.
