ABOUT THE FILM
Marking Paddy Considine's debut feature film, comes Tyrannosaur. Joseph (Peter Mullan) is an unemployed widower, drinker, and a man crippled by his own volatile temperament and furious anger. Hannah (Olivia Colman) is a Christian worker at a charity shop, a respectable woman who appears wholesome and happy. When the pair are brought together and Hannah's abusive relationship with her husband (Eddie Marsan) is revealed, events spiral out of control and the pair become each others source of succour and comfort.
Tyrannosaur was nominated for 7 awards at this year's British Independent Film Awards and won 3 of those; Best Debut Director, Best Actress (Olivia Colman) and Best Film.
