IFTA TO CONTINUE CONTENT PARTNERSHIP WITH TIKTOK, STREAMING LIVE FROM RED CARPET THIS SATURDAY
The Irish Film and Television Academy (IFTA), is proud to announce that it is continuing its Content Partnership with TikTok as part of its upcoming 21st Anniversary IFTA Awards Ceremony taking place this Saturday, 20th April.
As part of the partnership, IFTA will continue to host exclusive content from the past 21 years of awards and events via #IFTA on TikTok. There will also be another special TikTok LIVE direct from the red carpet on Saturday hosted by popular TikTok creators' India Sasha Atkinson and Eric Roberts.
As part of the TikTok LIVE, India and Eric – who have a combined 1.1 million TikTok followers - will be speaking with some of the biggest names in Irish film and TV, and sharing some fun behind the scenes footage.
"We are delighted to continue this partnership with TikTok for another year, bringing our year-round programme of industry events, and the excitement of our Awards red carpet, to a wide and diverse audience,” said an IFTA spokesperson. “The IFTA Awards are a celebration of Irish talent at home and around the world, and this partnership with TikTok allows us to showcase that celebration in a unique and creative way."

About the Awards:
The 21st Anniversary IFTA Awards ceremony will take place on Saturday, 20th April, and highlights will be broadcast on RTÉ Two on Monday, 22nd April. The show will feature a range of categories celebrating the best of Irish film and television, with nominees for Best Film including Double Blind, Flora and Son, Lies We Tell, Lola, That They May Face The Rising Sun and Verdigris. Popular broadcaster Baz Ashmawy will host proceedings.
