Known as one of Ireland's most successful Theatre actresses, Bríd has previously won a Tony Award for her work on Dancing at Lughnasa, a role which she reprised in Noel Pearson's film version. Some of Bríd's recent credits include Casualty and Upstairs Downstairs but this rare big-screen appearance won her plaudits as well as an award at the Edinburgh Film Festival.
