Dublin born director Lenny Abrahamson directed numerous commercials for television in Ireland, the UK and worldwide before taking the helm on his first feature film Adam & Paul. He has since directed Garage, What Richard Did, Frank and most recently Room, an adaptation of Emma Donoghue's award winning novel, which will be completed later this year. He also directed Prosperity for RTÉ.
Gerard Barrett is a 27 year old writer/director/producer from Kerry whose debut feature, 'Pilgrim Hill' earned him the 2013 IFTA Rising Star Award. 'Glassland' is his second feature film. Barrett will next work with Charlize Theron on Brain On Fire.
John Carney is a Dublin born writer/director. Starting out by directing music videos, Carney then wrote and directed two award-winning short films Shining Star and Hotel before directing and co-writing his first feature film November Afternoon. Since then, Carney has wrote and directed films such as Park, On the Edge and Zonad and the musical dramas Once and Begin Again. He also co-created the popular drama series Bachelors Walk for RTÉ.
Terry McMahon's debut film as a director was Charlie Casanova, which won Best First Feature at the Galway Film Fleadh and was nominated for four IFTAs. He has won the RKO Pictures Hartley-Merrill International Screenwriting Award and the Tiernan McBride Screenwriting Award, and lectured on screenwriting and acting at Trinity College Dublin, IADT, UCD, and the John Huston Film School.
